I just finished watching the Wrestlecon 2017 Supershow.... what a fun show! It felt like PWG, especially since Excalibur was on commentary, but also had its own vibe going on.
Six Man Tag Team Match
ACH, Mascarita Dorada & Michael Elgin vs. Caleb Konley, David Starr & Trevor Lee
- I missed this match due to making dinner. Caught a very small bit and seemed fun.... but... yeah... sorry
Singles Match
Low Ki vs. Shane Strickland
- Nothing overwhelmingly awesome, but a good showing from both guys. Stickland came out to the ring and the lights went out, only to have Low Ki appear in the middle of the ring. The finish was GODDAMN BRUTAL though.
Impact World Heavyweight Title Match
Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Jeff Cobb
- Yes, the TNA World Title was defended here
. This was a solid match with Cobb showing off his insane strength. Everyone hated Lashley because... TNA... but he looked really solid in this, but the match really was all about Cobb. Lashley trolled the crowd during his entrance where his "theme song" (some weird country music song...) played for a few minutes, then cut off, only to have him come out a couple minutes later through the crowd.
Tag Team Match
Angelico & Jack Evans vs. Flip Gordon & Sammy Guevara
- I really had no idea who Flip and Sammy were, but they were really good here and had a great showing. Jack Evans was nursing an injury so he wasn't his normal self, but Angelico really made up for the lack of Jack (heh, see what I did there?). Some really great tag team spots, and even Jack Evans calling (I think) Flip Gordon Justin Bieber.
Ten Man Tag Team Match
AR Fox, Dezmond Xavier, Jason Cade, Ricochet & Sami Callihan vs. Drew Galloway, Lio Rush, Marty Scurll, Ryan Smile & Will Ospreay
- OMG this was such a fun match. Reeked of a PWG BOLA 10 Man Tag with all the comedy and insane spots. It felt like it went on forever, but it was only 20 minutes. Ricochet and Ospreay hit their spots they've been hitting in all of their matches, and the not so big names like Dezmond Xavier, Jason Cade, and Ryan Smile even had a superb showing. Everything about this match was fun and you can really feel the work they put into it. If you watch any match from this show make sure its this one. There's even a dance contest....
DDT Iron Man Heavy Metal Title 20 Man Battle Royal
2 Cold Scorpio vs. Joey Ryan (c) vs. Abyss vs. Billy Gunn vs. Colt Cabana vs. Gangrel vs. George South vs. Gregory Helms vs. Jake Manning vs. Kevin Thorn vs. Kikutaro vs. Marty Jannetty vs. Moose vs. Mr. Hughes vs. Shane Douglas vs. Shannon Moore vs. Suicide vs. Swoggle vs. The Underground Luchador (Matt Striker) vs. Zane Riley
- What. A. Cluster. Fuck. It was cool to see some of these guys (Mr. Hughes, Shane Douglas, Gangrel) appear, but then there were the ones like Marty Jannetty that you can tell were at the bar the entire night before he had to come out . Poor guy couldn't even throw a punch... let alone walk to the ring and the commentary team's reaction to him was just... yeah. There was a pretty big "ECW" chant when Kevin Thorn entered, which was hilarious, and Swoggle was awesome.

Swoggle (c) vs. Joey Ryan
- Swoggle won the Battle Royal, and then Joey Ryan pinned him to win the title back...

Joey Ryan (c) vs. The Sandman
- ... only to have "Enter Sandman" hit, queuing The Sandman to come down for a VERY SHORT match... yup. I love the DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title lol
Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match
Cage (w/ Melissa Santos) vs. Johnny Mundo
(w/ Taya)
- I have never seen Melissa Santos without makeup... WOW she looks WAY different. Not in a bad way, just didn't look a thing like her. This match was alright, had some fun "parkour" spots, and some brutal Table and Ladder spots... those tables didn't look completely gimmicked.
Tag Team Match
Penta El Zero M & Rey Fenix vs. The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy)
- I blinked and the match was over.... . I thought I was texting for a long time because of how short the match felt, but I looked it up on Cagematch.com and it said the match was just around 7 minutes.... was expecting A LOT more, but it sounded like the show was running super long. Still had some fun spots, but definitely could have gone at least another 5 minutes.
So yeah, definitely check out this show, at least the 10 Man Tag and the Battle Royal for the cringe. If you watch this for great wrestling then you aren't watching it right, its just a fun show with fun "moments" that are entertaining.
