Life & Death Tour
Featuring: Terror, Power Trip, Harms Way, Angel Du$t, Fury, Red Death
Date: Sunday July 10th, 2016
Venue: Velvet Underground in Toronto, Ontario
T-shirt worn: Harms Way "Rust" (Nirvana 'Bleach' design) (what a mark!)
I showed up midway through Red Deaths set. They played a forgettable brand of youthful thrash.
Red Death
1. ?
2. Empty Shell
3. ?
4. Judgment Day
Next was a band called Fury. They were okay. Typical hardcore punk. Their singer was really drunk and that was pretty funny. Their breakdowns were really good and when they played really fast I liked them.
Fury
1. ?
2. Thin Line
3. ?
4. ?
5. Reality Check
6. Damage is Done
7. ?
8. ?
9. ? w/the bald guitarist from Angel Du$t
I wanted to see Angel Du$t. I've heard quite a bit about them, they're named after one of the greatest albums of all-time and they have a dollar sign in their name. They weren't bad. I guess they're considered "pop punk"? My favourite part of their set was when they started discussing Pokémon Go. So even though I didn't like their music I think they're probably really cool guys. They played like fifteen songs but the only title I caught was the last song Have a Good Time. The crowd was really into them.
So Harms Way are what brought me out tonight. I saw them twice last year and they were an incredible force of destruction both times. Tonight was no different. The invisible ninja fighting was off the wall for them tonight but I was able to stay out of…harms way. I wish I knew their song titles better because they played some stuff I knew I knew but I just couldn’t place it. They opened their set with a riff I know from somewhere but I couldn’t figure it out now. I swear they were saying “blinded” during the third song but I can’t find any songs on the CD’s I have by them with that lyric said in that manner. Whatever the forth and fifth songs were they were really good. Everything was really good. The only downfall tonight was the sound was a bit muddy but I think that was partially because of where I was standing and the strange shape of the room. Imagine your typical small concert venue but with the stage all the way to the left at the end of the room rather than in the center at the end of the room. Regardless; Harms Way leveled everything again and I will see them any chance I get. They could be my favourite metal band right now.
Harms Way
1. Infestation
2. Law of the Land
3. ?
4. ?
5. ?
6. ?
7. Amongst the Rust
8. Mind Control
9. ?
I really wanted to stay for Power Trip and Terror.
but
Happening five miles across town and in less than twenty minutes…

Follow up:
I don't regret leaving this show at all to go to the other. I do think my enjoyment was taken out of this show by figuratively pacing in my mind if I was going to be able to make it to the other show on time. Especially when this one started running forty minutes late. But the stars aligned that night and everything timed out almost perfectly.
I've since seen Harms Way one more time, this past March. I think Power Trip have played here one or twice since. And I know Terror will come back some day too.
