MCMG with the win view double small package.

It's weird... I haven't been impressed with really anything MCMG have done since returning in ROH, but back in their early days they had such great chemistry with each other and some really innovative tag team maneuvers.

Chris Bosh and Scott Lost had some good chemistry too, but not near the level of MCMG.

This match went 10 minutes too long. Cagematch says it was 27 minutes, but felt WAY LONGER than that. It wasn't bad, it was actually a REALLY GOOD tag team match, especially for mid-late 2000's indy wrestling, but my interest started to dwindle about 12 minutes in... and then the match kept going for too long after that.

Ummm. No idea who Bino is... but I guess this is a 2/3 Falls Match. Disco Machine just won the first fall in about 4 seconds of the bell ringing with a backslide.... k.

Mid-Match Thoughts
Disco Machine, despite not having "the look" or name is actually really solid in the ring. It's hard to get over his appearance and name though since he looks like someone who's the CEO of some small company or something lol

Bino is... I don't know... he's there. He'd probably fit in with early CZW though.

I have another PWG DVD from a few years later before PAC went to NXT and he was getting jacked. I think he fought Steen on that too and he commented something like "GODDAMN! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU!?!?!?"

PAC got the win with a Shooting Star Senton, Steen kicked out, then he nailed the "Red Arrow" (kinda hung his foot on the rope, but still hit it) for the 3.

This match was goddamn incredible! Such a good clash of styles with some insane spots! I HIGHLY recommend this match to everyone. Amazing chemistry, and really good post match speech from Steen. WATCH THIS MATCH IF YOU CAN!

That match overall was solid... but it lacked any sense of urgency. Could have been the commentary, but I dunno.... good match though. Sounded like Generico was completely unexpected to win the match.

Post match, Generico goes for a handshake, but Tornado brushes him off.

So that was PWG "Holy Diver Down". If I had to rate the show, I'd give it a 7/10. It's from 10 years ago. PWG wasn't the "OMG MUST SEE" company they are now, but they were finding their place. It was definitely a step up from the last couple shows I watched though, production, in ring, and commentary wise.

Speaking of commentary, that is usually my main complaint for these shows. The guys are usually just chatting about random stuff like spaghetti, asian girls, the type of beer the like, and other things, so it takes you COMPLETELY out of the match, this show was different though. They did go off topic a few times, but not as bad as usual. They mostly stayed invested in the match, even if their lines didn't add urgency or story to it, they still called it, so that's a plus.

The matches weren't bad either, especially for a show from 10 years ago. The tag team match was really good but went way too long, other wise I'd recommend that. Steen vs PAC is highly recommended though. Definitely one of, if not THE, best old school PWG matches I've seen.

All the other matches were fine too. Nothing flat out sucked, and the only match I'd say to skip for sure would be the 2/3 falls match, and maybe the Joey Ryan match.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy my somewhat "play by play" commenting on this show. I dunno if I'll do this more or just do normal write ups, but yay... UP NEXT, IRON MAIDEN VIRTUAL CONCERT!!!!
