Well, it is a tour that features New Japan guys and Suzuki already had his shot at the world title. Kushida is the only other Japan guy on the card with the credentials to challenge for the world title, so why not?

This isn't a PPV or TV taping so what's it matter? All companies do matches like this at the non televised events. Nothing that happens at these shows will effect storylines in any big way. They're just putting a good first time ever match together while they have the chance to do it.

John's just jealous because Toru Yano doesn't work the west coast.

The moment Yano gets booked for Defy or 321 Battle is the moment I boycott the Seattle Wrestling Scene

Seattle is one of the easier flights to America from Japan. Yano showing up there is a good possibility.

That's what they got for Cody and Marty at the show? Get the fuck outta here. Two of the company's most over guys and merch movers and they're stuck with this garbage. They couldn't go against War Machine instead.

I don't know who that guy who isn't Toru Yano is but I think Cody is going through NJPWs roster chronologically by age.

Yoshi Hashi I'd basically the Randy Orton of NJPW.

Not true. At least Orton has had plenty of memorable matches and storylines. I don't think that's the case with Yoshi Hashi. I've watched enough New Japan to know his name but don't recall a damn thing he's ever done.

Meh, I just find both to lack any real form of charisma, they have the ability to put on entertaining matches but tend to just play it safe with the occasional stand out match (except Orton has done far more in this case.... also can't think of a damn thing Yoshi has done....). Meh, I dunno. Guess the charisma is the only thing that seems similar. 

Can't even complain him to Roman Reigns because at least RoRo has a goddamn sense of character.... Yoshi Hashi is just a dude that walks out with a shower pole and looks like a 90's PS1 character.

Well I have been MIA but here is my late as hell quick thoughts on ROH DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR 2017

-Skip Briscoes/Bully vs The Boredom, Hung Bucks vs Bully/Briscoes and Suzuki/Cody. All these matches were kinda there and the main event was boring as hell. Cody Rhodes has proven to be comfortable with working midcard matches at a main event scale. Dude just goes through the motions and has not adapted to carrying matches to the next level. He has the look and mic skills but damn no wonder WWE kept him in the Tag and IC/US scene. Gets everything handed to him on the indys and NJPW scene and has shown nada. I like the risk taken with Cody but like Jinder he has been mediocre. Only difference is he wears a Bullet Club vest so gets lots of love from stupid marks.

-Scrull vs Chuckie T: 8/10 MOTN for me. Just two dudes throwing bombs at each other. Felt like a PWG match. Needed something on the line though to mean more.

-Punishment Martinez vs Jay White No DQ: 7.5/10 First off the crowd gave no fucks until Punishment started murdering White. Both guys are very good in the ring but need to flesh out their characters and then we will get somewhere. Dug the match and lots of weapon use but crowd was dead. Murder Death Kill finish was cool.

-Kenny King vs Kushida TV Title: 7/10 I could not care for this match. The work rate and the moves and wrestling as a whole was so smooth but I felt no urgency. I have yet to see the hype in King. Kushida is top NJPW talent but he barely got a solid match out of King.

-Silas Young vs Lethal: 7.5/10 Trim this up and make it faster pace and we got something special. The feud has been good and I liked the level of brutality they brought especially with the strap hits. Finish was flat but winner made sense. Silas needs one damn push in ROH.

-MCMG vs Young Bucks : 7.5/10 Two teams that get each other always makes for fun tag wrestling. That is what we got here and maybe something great was going to happen then the Addiction run in happened. Look Daniels/Kaz do nothing for me. Just two past timers. Last year at Ladder War Daniels gave a brilliant performance but it led to a flop World Title reign.

Overall: 7.5/10 Very solid PPV with good wrestling but needed some must see matches to get to cannot miss PPV. ROH is on a right direction with some of the wins here though. Need to pick up momentum again.

Now I dont watch any wrestling until I go to PCW Demonized on Friday.

I'd say he's probably more like New Japan's Curtis Axel. Solid guy in the ring who you can put into any random midcard spot as needed but doesn't do anything that stands out.

If you're not fluent in Japanese the meet and greet looks like it will be rather uneventful. Hopefully Omega will be there to help translate.

the line for meet and greet in Toronto when Omega was here in May was around the entire hockey rink. And it was one line and once you got to the front you went to whoever you wanted to see. So needless to say Mandy Leon sees this huge line building and her heart is broken when every person goes over to Kenny Omega. And adamclark52 (who wants a picture with Mandy Leon) looks at that line and says "fuck that, I'll wait to catch her when she's working the merch booth at intermission."

But you know what, if she's there and she's all lonely I'll go get a pic with her. My wife will want to kill me but when is she ever not mad a me?

Mandy Leon is one of the hottest girls in wrestling. I'm guessing the line to meet her would be decent. But with Omega and the Bucks there no one else stands a chance at the meet and greet.

I'm guessing if Mandy wasn't garbage in the ring people might be interested in meeting her as well. Not all her fault though. They don't give the women a lot of ring time so there's no way for her to gain experience and improve.
