WWEs ticket prices are getting as redonculous as the big concerts too.  Like, $450 for Wrestlemania is okay.  But for a Smackdown?

If you're interested in wrestling beyond the WWE I suggest you check these out.  Not sure if either is near you:
Ring of Honor in Milwaukee
Ring of Honor in Hopkins

Ring of Honor has seen better days (as sanitarium78 can tell you much better than I) but I enjoy it much more.  Check out their website and see if you can find some matches online.  And going to their shows are much more affordable.

I'd say go for it if you can though, dude. Even if WWE isn't as "good" as it used to be (i still enjoy it), its fun as hell to go to live, especially if you haven't been to one. Plus they film 205 Live after Smackdown, so you get the chance to see some amazing talent that all the "casual WWE fans" don't want to give the time of day to. 

Gotta hand it to WWE. The last month or so raw has been getting almost as good as the A show smackdown. It's just filling the three hours that still drags the show down overall.

Samoa Joe's sit-down interview with Michael Cole was great. They need to more of these since it really helps with character development. It also lets people who don't know a wrestler to get an idea about them. Joe's beatdown on Sami was great as well.

Speaking of great, the Owens turn on Jericho was brilliant. How can that not be a title for title match at mania after that?

Bayley winning was a nice moment but I think her winning the title for the first time should have been saved for mania. There's usually a backlash from the fans these days when someone gets big success too soon. But I guess they figure it's OK because it's impossible to boo Bayley.

My thoughts on what's happening on the A show smackdown, coming up later.

Actually, Hopkins is one town over. Hmm....

WWE had a really strong week this week after Elimination Chamber as a whole just didn't do much for me...

- Raw was really good. Agreed with sanitarium78 on giving Bayley the title too soon, but still cool. Obviously RFD retains at Fastlane then something big happens at Wrestlemania. Despite it's length (thats what she said) it was a really good watch, and the building of Samoa Joe is so good.

- Gillberg? YES PLEASE! That whole segment was one of the best things WWE has done in years.

- Emmalina's debut was GREAT LOL. WWE trolled everyone.

- Smackdown was again, a fun easy watch. The Ascension getting more TV time makes me happy, just wish they would get more W's.

- The main event was, ahem, phenomenal, and Wyatt getting a clean win on Cena. YES.

- 205 Live was good from beginning to end, even with the Metalik botch. All three matches were entertaining, ESPECIALLY the main event.

- NXT was probably the weakest of the week... BUT the main event between Tyler Bate and Trent Seven was fun...
-- AND DAT KASSIUS OHNO PROMO PACKAGE!!!!!!!!!! I thought they'd bring him back on TV as a surprise, but still cool since EVERYONE knows hes back lol

And yeah... thats that really. I want to watch ROH tonight, but Netflix has me hooked on Better Call Saul

... OH AND I heard WCPW put on a solid PPV this week, so I want to check that out (even though I really don't care for that promotion).

He was 79 and passed away in hospice. With all the wrestlers who've died too young, it's nice to see one who lived a good long life.

Hopefully, there's plenty of turnbuckles for him to bite into and tear to shreds in the afterlife.

And officially soon to be Nicole Bass. Her life support is being turned off today. Rough 24 hours for wrestling.

Um, Nicole Bass isn't a big deal. She had zero impact on the wrestling world.

My thoughts on the A show Smackdown.

Love that Wyatt won the title. I hope it's not a short reign and Orton puts Wyatt over huge at mania. He's pinned Cena clean twice and Styles once. There's no way he shouldn't be able to beat Orton. I'm glad that Vince is finally realizing what he's got with Bray. Some great long term storytelling with the Wyatt/Orton angle. I almost expect a double turn here since Orton comes off as way more heelish by joining the family only to implode it from within. Bray is twisted but he really didn't do anything that bad to Orton to deserve that.

It's a crime that the Becky/Mickie feud isn't for the belt. They've had two very good matches and are just making Naomi and Alexa look like beginners in the ring. Makes the title look like crap that the person holding it is the worst female on the roster while the two best overall workers in it aren't anywhere near it.

They fucked up by not having the Ascension win the tag titles at el chamber. Alpha was beaten down and left lying by the Usos. Should have been easy pickings for them to get the pin and take the titles. Alpha would have been protected in the loss and Ascension would have looked like opportunistic heels. They need more than one established heel team besides the Usos. Big chance missed there to try and do it with the Ascension.

Holy shit, did I just say the Ascension should have got the tag titles? What's wrong with me? It would have made total sense though. Alpha are being booked like the super Cena's of the tag division. If that continues, expect them to get booed heavily by summerslam.

Ambrose/Corbin should be good as long as their IC title match at mania is a street fight. Corbin is getting better but he still missing that special something that will make him a huge star. I see him more in the role that Kane had for most of his career.

I like the transformation of Ziggler. Seems like they've had this in the works since his summerslam loss. But he's not gonna get over as a heel unless he attacks someone people care about. Beating down Crews and Kalisto will only get him cheered more since neither one is over as a face.

Hey, Styles isn't doing anything important for mania and neither is Ziggler. Have Zig make the full turn by beating down Styles. I mean most of the crowd is already cheering Styles anyways. May as well get the rest behind him at this point. Just don't have him lose his attitude. Have him be a cocky face like HBK was.

Natalya, you suck as a heel. Nikki, you suck worse as a face.

Carmella is doing some really good work with the whole Ellsworth thing. At least he's where he should be now as a goofy midcard guy.

Oh shit, they really are gonna do Miz/Maryse against Cena/Nikki at mania aren't they? Miz, Maryse and Cena deserve better than that. Nikki deserves worse though.

Overall, for the first time in years WWE isn't a big ball of suck and are actually putting in a little effort for a change. Nice to see that again.

to make the Cena/Nikki v. Miz/Maryse thing even worse I've heard the entire point is to set up Cena proposing to her at the end. There's your Wrestlemania moment.
