Masters of Puppets

Venue: the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada
T-shirt worn: PLAIN BLACK!!!!
While we were in Vegas this past weekend I went and saw a Metallica cover band while my wife was seeing another show. Even after seeing hundreds of bands in my life I've never seen a cover band. Metallica are far from my favourite band. In my opinion they're metals safest band. But they do have a lot of good songs that any metal head is lying if they say they don't like them. I'm more partial to "album tracks" like Leper Messiah and Trapped Under Ice but for twenty dollars I'm happy with anything. The band themselves weren't too bad. They were sloppy at times but I'd like to think that was what it was like seeing Metallica when they were playing bars. I thought it was pretty epic that they didn't play anything from the last twenty years. I'd have liked the title track from St. Anger and Hero of the Day and that's it.
Their stage names were pretty funny too:
Harley Hetfield - lead vocals, guitar
Napster Ulrich - drums
Cliff Jason Trujillo - bass, backing vocals
Kirk Mustaine - lead guitar, backing vocals
