This was a really fun match. Since I don't like the Kingdom I enjoyed seeing them get the tar beaten out of them. Some of those slaps on TK O’Ryan were fvcking stiff. I was really surprised to see the Briscoes and Bully Ray win but not surprised to see the seeds for a Jay Briscoe turn being planted.

Marry Scrull vs. Chucky T
I honestly don’t remember this match. Speaks volumes of how I feel about Marty Scrull. I still don’t get it.

Las Vegas Street Fight
Punishment Martinez vs. Jay White
I feel so bad for Punishment Martinez every time I see him because the poor guy gets zero reaction. He's not that bad either. So my wife and I decided to mark out for the guy this entire match. It wasn't a bad match at all. The middle was a little flat. But I legit jumped out of my seat when the tacks came out because things like that will make both guys a little bit more famous. We marked for Punishment at the end and he looked over at us with a look of thanks.
Winner: Punishment Martinez

For the Ring of Honor World Six Man Tag Team Championships
The Briscoes & Bully Ray vs. the Hung Bucks (champions)
I expected this match to end very early, what with the earlier stuff with Jay Briscoe and with the Young Bucks having a second match later in the card defending the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships. It was a bit of a downer and waste of time but understandable. I don't watch the Young Bucks YouTube show so I didn't know or care what the deal with Hangman Page missing was about.
Winners: the Hung Bucks

Kenny King vs. Kushida (champion)
Any angle that has anything to do with a fucking bottom-feeding show like the Bachelorette automatically gets zero interest from me. They played off Kenny Kings being in that show during his entrance and I'm not sure but maybe the commentary team played off it too. It was a good match though.
Winner: Kenny King (new Ring of Honor World Television Champion)

Last Man Standing Match
Silas Young vs. Jay Lethal
This match was fvcking awesome. That's not just me the Silas Young mark marking out. These two beat the piss out of one another. Those whips with the belt were disgusting to hear. Silas' back was covered in welts within minutes. The ladder spot happened right in front of me too. Match ov the night and a likely contender to be on my match ov da year list too.
Last Man Standing: Silas Young

For the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships
Motor City Machine Guns vs. the Young Bucks (champions)
This was another good, fun match. As with any Young Bucks match I felt bad for their opponents. They may as well be facing the Ding Dongs every time I see them. But the Guns held their own and gave a great performance too. There were some good spots in here and it was fun.
Winners: the Motor City Machine Guns (new Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions)

For the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship
Minoru Suzuki vs. Cody (Champion) w/Brandi Rhodes
I'm not going to mince my words: this match sucked ass. I've never heard of
Minoru Suzuki (and I doubt a lot of people have but y’know: Japan) but all I heard was how this guy is legit and was going to kill Cody. So I was hoping for a nice first impression. Instead, some cat and mouse stalling at the beginning, some funny faces and one decent chop sequence then...it was over. An aire of "what the fuck?" filled the arena. I was pretty disappointed but I hope those marks were even more disappointed for letting themselves get so worked up over this match.
Winner: Cody

So while the main event of this show was laughably shit the rest of the show was really damn fun. There was one match of the year contender in Silas Young verses Jay Lethal, two really good, fun matches in the Tag Team title match and the opener and a couple other good ones.

I've heard the main event got cut short due to the show running late but then I heard the show went off the air at 11:53pm. So I'm just going to chalk it up to people just getting overly caught up in Japanese wrestling again. Mike Awesome and Masato Tanaka had my favourite match of all-time in nine minutes. Those two could've done a hell of a lot more. Maybe Minoru was suffering from jet lag, and I could see it. But that’s a poor excuse.

Sam’s Town is a nice arena with uneven seating structure that doesn't show how many people really were there tonight. A lot of the seats are on the soft camera side. It was a sell out.

After the show I shook Cary Silkins hand as he walked around thanking fans for coming out.

Dark Match
Rhett Titus & Will Ferrerea vs. the Tempura Boys
This was a dark match. I'm not sure the big deal with the Tempura Boys. They are cute, but that’s it.

This was a very good show.

Opening tag was fun but the Kingdom is just DOA. The dude with the tatoos looks like he can be something one day but he's not enough to save them. The build to the Brsicoe's and or Bully turning heel has been done well. After this match it was pretty obvious that Jay was the one who was probably turning.

I've only known Chuck Taylor by name. Never seen him before he came to ROH a couple months ago. So far, I don't see what's special about him but he did have a good match with Scurll. I thought the match was a little long though. It was just a fun one on one match that didn't need to have spamming near falls like it did. I like Scurll but he really needs to tighten up the grip on his opponents face during the chicken wing. It just looks weird and doesn't look like it hurts at all. Maybe he's too short. Bob Backlund needs to give him lessons but I don't think Scurll can recite all the US presidents in order so he's probably out of luck there.

Not sure what's happened with Jay White but it seems like he wasn't allowed to show personality for a while. Even since his match with Ospray he's really starting to stand out. He feud with Punishment has really helped with that as well. White is decent in the ring and has shown a lot more fire because of this feud. Not sure if it was a Japan thing where he wasn't allowed to show who he was at first but he has really come to life in recent months. The match was really good and it had some really cool spots. Too bad people aren't taking to Punishment yet but this was the big match performance that both guys needed to start winning fans over and they accomplished that.

I loved the Jay Briscoe heel turn. Psycho heel Jay Briscoe is gonna rule. I can see him and Bully having a match at final battle then Jay vs Mark at Supercard Of Honor. With the way the taping schedule goes they can certainly hold off on the match until then. They can even play up that Mark doesn't want to fight his brother to help keep the story going for a bit. I guess a match happened here but the whole Briscoe/Bully thing was the main thing.

I'm glad to see Kushida's pointless TV title reign end. I like Kenny King, he did well in his TNA run a few years ago and was the X division champ a few times. He has a flashy in ring style, lots of personality and a good look. But the guy just doesn't have the it factor. He's good midcard people. This was a really good match though. Maybe King can make it work with the title. I think he can be a solid champion but I don't see the reign lasting long. Maybe Silas can beat him for it. King is much better as a heel though. He comes across as fake while being a face.

Lethal and Silas had the match of the night. Those belt shots were brutal. They really laid into each other. The good news is after Jinder's promo on SD, Silas whipping a black man was not the most racist thing to happen in wrestling last week

This feud was done really well and it was nice to see Silas finally get a defining PPV win like that. Hopefully a title is in his future. I would even take him and Bruiser as tag champs at this point.

Tag title match was solid. It's nice to see that even though injuries have slowed the Machine Guns down, they can still carry two talentless hacks to a good match. Really speaks to the high level of talent that Shelley and Sabin still have. With the Daniels/Kaz run in, it's possible they're setting up for another ladder war between these three again at final battle.

That main event blew goat nuts. Cody is great with the character work. I love the has an actual ring of honor that he wants people to kiss. He really knows how add those little things to stuff to make it special. Unfortunately, character work is where it seems to end for him. He came up through the WWE system and doesn't seem to know how to work a different style. It didn't help that they got short on time. I thought there was a botch with the ending since it happened so sudden. I thought maybe Suzuki's english wasn't so good and he didn't hear the count proper and forgot to kick out. But from what i've read, that's what the ending was supposed to be.

Maybe next time they should make sure that the first two matches on the card don't take up 40 mins so they can have some time for the main event. This is not the first time ROH has had to cut a major match short due to PPV time. Someone needs to teach Delirious show time management. But that probably won't work since after all he is apparently delirious. Still a very enjoyable show with only a couple of minor gripes.

Oh and as for Chuck Taylor. He's just a fun and entertaining wrestler. Think he broke out big in Chikara and people just enjoy him because he brings a good amount of comedy, yet also has the talent too.

Basically what NJPW's Toru Yano should be.... except Chucky T isn't as annoying and can actually put on a good match.

A couple minute interview/video clip would have been nice in the weeks following his tv debut. This show was only his third or fourth televised appearance with the company.

I admit that I don't know much about concussions and that sometimes they don't always look as bad as they really are. But the next night at the TV tapings Bully Ray was selling the table throw from Jay Briscoe as possibly ending his career. From where I sat it didn't even hit his head and the one .gif I saw of it on Twitter didn't look much better. The double Superkick from the Bucks and the way he landed after that looked way worse. Not to mention all the other punishment I've seen Bully take over the years. Again, I don't know much about concussions so maybe I shouldn't say anything.

Then he called into the radio show I listen to today and was selling it further.

And I just can't take it seriously, since the table shot was so far off the mark.

So just finished the show. Pretty good overall, even if I didn't know why a majority of the matches were even happening.

ROH World Six Man Tag Team Title #1 Contendership Match
Bully Ray & The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) vs. The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O'Ryan & Vinny Marseglia)
- This was a decent match. Nothing too special. The two Kingdom guys that aren't Matt Taven are great, can't wait to see them go off and do their own thing.

Singles Match
Chuckie T vs. Marty Scurll
- Really good match between these two. Not sure why they were fighting, but it was fun. Definitely have seen better from both, but good for Chuck Taylor's first singles match in ROH. Scurll is so goddamn over.

Las Vegas Street Fight
Jay White vs. Punishment Martinez
- Another solid match with a brutal ending stretch. Martinez is phenomenal, I wish I could see him more and wish he gets a good push eventually. Jay White is still really bland, but when he has to put on a good match he can do it (see: Ospreay vs White).

ROH World Six Man Tag Team Title Match
BULLET CLUB (Hangman Page, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (c) vs. Bully Ray & The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe)
- Not much of a match I guess. That table spot wasn't very believable given the table was bending a lot and it barely even grazed the air near his head, but I dig the story they're building to.

ROH World Television Title Match
KUSHIDA (c) vs. Kenny King
- Fuccccccccccccccccccccccking good match. I am so happy to see KUSHIDA lose the belt. He's a phenomenal athlete, but him holding the belt reminds me of Lesnar taking the Universal title hostage. Plus I have grown immensely tired of him after forcing myself to watch so much NJPW over the last year. Kenny King has never been anything special to me, but he looked so good in this match. I can't wait to see him do more. Glad to see him on his own now and not in ANX or the Rebellion.

Last Man Standing Match
Jay Lethal vs. Silas Young
- Really fun match. Those damn belt whips Lethal put on Young were NASTY. A ton of great spots in this, and even though I knew the outcome I was shocked to see Young pick up the win, even if it was really close. Silas is such an underrated performer, hoping this will lead to at least a TV Title push.

ROH World Tag Team Title Match
The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (c) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)
- May have been my match of the night. These two teams have such great chemistry together and know each other so well, so it's awesome to see them really blend well and put on a great bout. MCMG have always been so damn good when it comes to double team moves, and even if I find them bland these days, they still have the ability to put on a great match if needed.

ROH World Title Match
Cody (c) vs. Minoru Suzuki
- I'm gonna say it now... this was one of the more entertaining Minoru Suzuki matches I have seen. Every match he does in NJPW has the same goddamn structure, so it was good to not see Suzuki-Gun at ring side and just let Minoru have fun. Now... the finish was shit, felt like they cut out a good 5-10 minutes of the match and jumped to the finish, but overall it wasn't as horrible as I've been reading.

So there ya go. Easy to watch show, some good matches, nothing necessarily bad. My only complaint is what I always complain about with NJPW... the storylines. So hard to follow given their weekly TV being behind, plus I don't watch the other shows that are only released on DVD or On Demand, so that makes it even harder to follow.

John, ROH is easy as hell to follow. They had a bit of a rough patch last year with the TV being off but they've gotten back on track this year. The VOD and DVD stuff has some things happen but it's not must see stuff and it doesn't usually have a huge impact overall on the stories. If you watch the weekly show you'll be up on things well enough.

Except for Scurll and Chuckie which was just put together to get them on the card, every other match had good build on TV.
