The Briscoes "Man Up"
From Final Battle 2011 on December 23rd, 2011
For the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships
Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (champions) vs. the Briscoes
I swear I've seen this match somewhere before. I remember Shelton Benjamin’s rib injury vividly. But I have seen a few other shows from 2011 so I may be remember one of those. And I think I'd remember the ten-minute beating Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team gave the Briscoes before this match even started. Once the match did start it suffered. Nothing really worth seeing aside from the Briscoes getting pummelled and hit in the head
I mean Jay shouldn't have even been standing. But, "man up".

The Briscoes (champions) vs. Davey Richards & Kyle O'Reilly
The best part of this match? The fucking carpet on the floor. The match itself was okay but the carpet was some six star shit.

The Briscoes (champions) vs. the Young Bucks
I watched this a month or two ago on the Young Bucks Superkick Party Part 1 DVD. I didn’t feel like watching it again. Here’s my review of the match from that DVD review:
“This match started out better than it ended up being. The Briscoes were in full-on rage mode at the start. The camera filter was really bad too.”

The Briscoes (champions) vs. Jigsaw & Hallowicked
I enjoyed this match much, much more than the others so far. Jigsaw and Hallowicked were from Chikara and they brought a Lucha Libra-esc edge to the match and it brought something more out of the Briscoes. And Hallowickeds mask was fvcking awesome.

The Briscoes vs. Kevin Steen & Jimmy Jacobs
This match was soldiering on fine until there was a double count out. Then Jim Cornette (who was the Ring of Honor authority figure at the time) came out and said, "from here on in it’s anything goes". It turned into a nice ECW-ish mess after that. And Mark did an insane jump off the second balcony.

Steel Cage Match
The Briscoes & Rhett Titus vs. S.C.U.M. (Kevin Steen, Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs)
This match I know I've seen before but I have zero problem watching it again. It's a messy, stoopid brawl but it's a fun messy, stoopid brawl and this DVD needed it.

S.C.U.M. (Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs) (champions) vs. the Briscoes vs. C&C Wrestle Factory
This wasn't very good at all but I guess it was important to show the Briscoes getting title win number eight?

The Briscoes (champions) vs. the American Wolves
This wasn’t a bad match at all. The mat was ripped pretty bad and was really loose. I bet it made wrestling really hard. There were times when I could tell it inhabited them just a little. I think the ending may have been botched, which had nothing to do with the ripped mat. I think the ref screwed up his count or something.

The Briscoes (champions) vs. reDRagon
This wasn't a bad mid-card Tag Team match. The ending sequence with Mark Briscoe and Kyle O'Reilly trading head-butts then Mark getting belly-to-back suplexed to the outside of the ring was pretty rough.

The Briscoes vs. Adam Cole & Michael Bennett w/Maria Kanellis
You know what, I've never liked Michael Bennett. But watching this match in the fall of 2017 during his pathetic run in the WWE (which may or may not be over already at the time of this writing) this match takes on a whole other level of "what a loser". I never took anything about him serious but now...I'm laughing. This wasn't too bad a match. With there being one of my most despised Ring of Honor guys in the ring with two of my favourites I really wish that they'd have gone all out and completely fvcking decimated Bennett. They didn't but if they had of we wouldn't be laughing so hard today.

The Briscoes vs. the Bullet Club (champions)
Wow, speaking of current circumstances making me laugh: it's Karl Anderson and Doc/Luke Gallows. Oh sorry, I should be marking out now. BOOLET CLUB, BOOLET CLUB, NJPW, WRESTLE KINGDOM, WRESTLE KINGDOM, SIX STARS...
....
FESTUS!!!!!!!!
....
Wait, what? No, no, no, no, no; we don't mention that in the JIWC (Japanese Internet Wrestling Community).
This was okay once I stopped making fun of internet wrestling fans in my head. I think. I was really ribbing them. SIX. FVCKING. STARS.

No Disqualifications
The Briscoes vs. Matt Hardy & Michael Bennett w/Maria Kanellis and Nick Searcy
Wow, talk about a DVD filled with guys who are wasting their time in the WWE today (fall 2017). Did Prince Devitt ever have a match in Ring of Honor against the Briscoes? I watched this show a few months ago but I have zero recollection of it. All I remember is wondering who the hell Nick Searcy was. It started off a normal match then it ended in a disqualification, so Nigel McGuinness restarted it as a No Disqualifications match. It was a fun little brawl after that. Nothing too crazy.
Winners: the Briscoes
There was a promo before this match where Jay Briscoe rapped. Enough said.
From Death Before Dishonor XII Night 1 on August 22nd, 2014
The Briscoes vs. the Young Bucks
I miss longhaired Mark Briscoe. It was a good look for him. This match was a lot more evenly matched than a current Young Bucks match. In fact I'd say the Briscoes really owned them for most of it.
Winners: the Briscoes

8-Man Elimination Tag Team Match
The Briscoes & the Addiction vs. the Young Bucks & reDRagon
This match was kind of boring at the start. But once they went outside the ring it got good. And Mark Briscoe reached a new level of "Mark is going to die" when he got Suplexed from the top rope to the outside of the ring onto everyone.
Winners: the Young Bucks
From the Winter Warrior's Tour on January 31st, 2015
The Briscoes vs. ACH & Matt Sydal
This was okay but by this point I'm pretty much finished with Tag Team matches and this DVD. Stokely Hathaway and Moose were at ringside and Stokely was on commentary with Kevin Kelly during this one and he was pretty terrible.
Winners: the Briscoes

I hate to say it but I really didn’t enjoy this DVD too much. I had a couple of problems with it. For one the set offered nothing new to me. I have a lot of DVDs of full shows from 2011 and on, so I’ve seen a lot of these faces and even a few of the matches. With the first two Briscoes DVDs they covered a lot of time that’s not as familiar to me and harder to even get your hands on. There are still a lot of faces from that era that I’ve never seen. So that’s probably when the match against Jigsaw and Hallowicked was the only one that really interested me on this set. They were the only guys "new" to me. And the Caged Hostility match, which was just fun to watch regardless.
The other problem I had is they really dropped the ball by completely ignoring Jays singles run during this era. You know, the one with two runs as Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion. It was good that they gave their Tag Team career the shine (since Mark wouldn't be on the DVD otherwise) but they could've cut a lot of the lesser matches out of this and included some of it. They really should have. It was pretty fucking important to the company and to the Briscoes. I’m sure there’ll be another Briscoes DVD in three or four years that’ll cover that but it was strange that their first two DVDs had no problem showcasing singles matches while this one didn’t feature any.
So yeah, there were a couple of good matches on here but I’d say give this one a “pass”.

The Briscoes vs. the Headbangers
If you were snickering at Glacier making appearance in the Honor Rumble a few weeks ago here you go; Ring of Honor has been dusting them off for years. And with the way Ring of Honor television tapings work this was probably filmed at the same show! Even though this was a shitty, meaningless TV match Mark still put himself through some rough spots.

The Briscoes, Papa Briscoe & Moose w/Uncle Jethro vs. Jay Lethal, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish & J. Diesel w/Truth Martini
At first when I looked at the crowd here I was really confused where this match was happening. Then I noticed it was in a fire hall in Delaware and I realized it was probably the Briscoes family reunion. It definitely wasn't your usually Ring of Honor crowd, except that guy with the tank top and the full sleeve tattoos who’s in the front row at every Ring of Honor show in the Eastern States was there. The match started out as Jay Briscoe verses Jay Lethal for the Ring of Honor World Television Championship but after a few minutes it broke down into an all out brawl and an eight man Tag Team match between those two sides. The match was very "Indy". The whole feeling was not Ring of Honor. I wonder if it was even at a Ring of Honor show? It wasn't too good.
