Follow up:
well, well, well; I guess I didn't have too much to say about this show seven years ago.
I do remember thinking Nevermore were a bigger draw and I was very surprised at the lack of people at the show. The Opera House can fit seven or eight hundred people and it was maybe a third full. They were really good though and are a band I really should listen to more.
Warbringer I'd seen a year earlier curtain-jerking for Obituary. Here they were on this night as main support to a band who I thought were really big (although I guess they weren't). That never sat right with me because they (Warbringer) were really terrible and belonged in a lower slot on any bill.
I liked Blackguard and bought their one album, which wasn't very good. Then I saw them again a few months later and they weren't very good then either. I must have been caught up in something.
All I remember of Hatesphere is they were from Switzerland and they we're very impressive.
