Every Time I Die
Support: Knocked Loose, Harms Way, Eternal Sleep
Date: Friday March 3rd, 2017
Venue: the Opera House in Toronto, Ontario
T-shirt worn: Harms Way "Rust" (Nirvana 'Bleach' homage)
I got to the venue way earlier than I'd have liked but it was an early show (doors at 6pm) and Harms Way were going on really early (7:45pm). And it was snowing, cold and I wanted close parking. So I went to Dangerous Dan’s terrible burgers one last time since it's closing in May. Good riddance.
I saw Eternal Sleep last year opening for either Nails or Madball. I don't remember why but I remember I didn't like them. Watching them tonight I was thinking back whenever that first show was and remembered that I thought they sounded like a Harms Way/Nails clone. They weren't entirely bad but a Harms Way clone going on before the real deal...

I won't mince my words: I really didn't want to be at this show. Harms Way are one of my favourite live acts and I go to shows just to see them. The sound was shit tonight and I couldn't make out the guitars. But I've finally reached the point where I have more song titles than question marks in their setlists. They were still awesome and I'll always go out of my way to see them live no matter what shitty bands they're playing with.

Of all the times I've been to the Opera House I usually always stay in the lower pit area. I didn't want to tonight though. So I made my way to the back for Knocked Loose. The exit door itself was very tempting. Then I had to go to the bathroom and after that I tried for the balcony because I've never been up there at the Opera House. I couldn't see shit but Knocked Loose didn't sound too bad.
Then I left before Every Time I Die.
some terrible pictures I took of Harms Way
